Not sure if the best team won every year, but it definitely did at a better rate than the NFL. When a naysayer like yourself can do nothing but completely avoid or deflect from the inquiry about an instance when the best team didn't win, it only shows how weak your argument is.

I'll say it AGAIN, so that maybe even a mental midget like yourself can understand......While the BCS has proven to be effective at determining who the best team in CFB is, even moreso than the NFL system, I think a playoff makes for more excitement, and look forward to it.
If it truly was effective we wouldn't have a playoff starting next season. Division One finally decided to join every other level of football by having a playoff. It still isn't there yet but it is a start.There is the regular season and the post season. CFB has always had its post season its exhibition season with tons of bowl games that don't mean much of anything more than a reward for a good season which has now morphed into barely a winning season. Arguing that the NFL system isn't as good as the way CFB decides its champion is moronic. It is all about the opportunity to play for a championship.Stating that 2 teams at the end of the season that have no common opponents are somehow better than 120+ teams is ridiculous.Notre Dame had a perfect season by the standards of Division One they were the National Champions since they were the only major undefeated team by your standards... Tell me that you believe they were the best team in America at the end of the regular season. So someone decides another one loss team should play them and if they win they are the best. Ridiculous. With 120 plus teams an 8 or 16 team playoff is the only fair way to solve the issue. Who is to say a 3 loss team that possibly had a much tougher road with its conference might not be better than an undefeated team in another conference. Play it on the field not the voting booth!!

That's fine, if you like things that way. However, there will be more instances where the best team in the league doesn't win it all.It definitely will be more fun though, and I look forward to it. I also hope to see the playoffs expand.But the system you desire (5 conference champions, 3 at large, and no more than 2 from one conference) is flat out stupid. A 5 loss Wisconsin would have been in over many more deserving teams last year. And no matter how you slice it, there will always be a "beauty contest" as you like to call it, involved.

That's easyAlabama is the better team, and without a boatload of luck, AU would not be in the championship game.AU had a 2 TD loss to LSU, and needed miracles, bad officiating and/or a great deal of luck to beat Bama, UGA, and A&M.In 5 of their 7 SEC games, the margin of victory was < or = one score.But, none of that matters, as AU won their only matchup in what was, in essence, a playoff game.If this was next year, Bama (probably) would be playing AU again, and would be favored. There's a reason for that.But FSU is going to roll, and I won't argue that they are the best team in the country, when it happens.I know what you're getting at, but again, Bama had their chance, and blew it.
