Bucs are going to draft an athletic QB.

*Puts on flame suit*Manziel ;)Carr is in the mix as he has enough mobility but the accuracy that Tedford likes. Bortles is obvious as well too depending on how the draft shakes out.

Lol at "puts on flame suit." I don't know, it will be interesting to see a) who is actually available and b) whether they pull the trigger
32nd ranked offense... they have to pull the trigger on a signal caller.Whether it is on day one or day three the likely hood is extremely high.
[To me, the actions of Lovie matter more than words, especially when they come from a coach at a press conference. To me Tedford - whether he's ultimately a good choice or not - represents that. I'd also point out that the Shea and Martz hires in Chicago represented that understanding as well. I'm not sure what happened with Shea, but it's clear that Martz simply went off the rails (and wasn't helped by the crap personnel that Angelo and crew assembled on offense).
Martz wasn't as best I recall his hire, that was forced on him and one reason things never worked well. When he got canned who'd he bring in but good OL Mike Tice.
Actually, no - Martz was his first choice, but Angelo resisted (according to the PFT account from the day it was announced). The other guys got gobbled up though, so Angelo acquiesced.
Also, on the happy path I wasn't saying your as in Booker Reese I was speaking in general terms of that a plan is how you will move forward. My concern was if Lovie's plan was to be a good offense or just to try and be good enough.
I get it.

Yeah, it's hard to see a scenario where we don't draft a QB.

While I am rather certain Manziel will be gone by the 7th pick, I wouldn't have any problem with the Bucs taking him. What an incredible contrast! :D Ichabod crane with a guy elusive, agile, and harder to catch than a water bug. Bold prediction.. Any team that passes on Manziel that is need of a QB will be shocked at what he accomplishes at the next level.Hey I don't even like the kid but he is a modern day Houdini in the backfield that makes accurate throws and move the chains. That being said the Bucs have less than 5% chance of him being there when they pick. Given that I would get Mckown from Chicago and pick Sammie Watkins #7 . I do believe he will be available. Count on 10,000 more in ticket sales and a franchise being talked about every week nationally if they lucked out with Manziel.
Not that this is anything new, but I just struggle to get over Manziel off the field. While no incidents - isn't Manziel's (purported) lifestyle EXACTLY what everyone thinks went wrong with Freeman? Too much partying, too much time with girls, yada yada yada not digging into the playbook. And I can't pretend to know where elite QBs spend their time, but I certainly expect it to be different than Manziel does.
