0-3. No excuses. 0-2 was the worst possible start and NOBODY saw it coming. Fans complained. I certainly did. Losing at home back to back against underdogs starting backup QB's? Come on. The fans were let down, large crowds went home disappointed, baffled and generally pissed off. Is that unreasonable?IMO..... it is not.Lovie Smith. Read the First 100 Days again. Built to win now. We were sold on that. And there was evidence of it! 55 million dollars spent in FA! That included a veteran QB who played six solid games a year ago for Lovie's old team. Six games out of an eleven year career including multiple NFL teams and a team in Hartford CT. But we bought in. I know why I did. I thought Lovie Smith knew what he was doing. So did the Glazers apparently. After all, Lovie himself hired the entire coaching staff, made all the FA deals, ran the draft and even hired his own GM to make the deals. TOTAL control! He MUST now what he is doing, right? The Second 100 Days is not as compelling. In fact it has been a nightmare. I've been a Buccaneer fan for a long long time and the only Head Coach I felt was worse from the outset was Richard Williamson. I'm sorry but I have seen NOTHING that tells me this team is going in the right direction. We can't beat backup QB's and we certainly cannot stop good ones. We have NO QB we can truly hang our hats on and a HC that really doesn't seem to care all that much about the position. As I recall Jay Cutler was FORCED on Lovie while with the Bears. So what now? What is there to be excited about, to look forward to? 2, 3 maybe 4 wins? Maybe one or two at home? A high draft pick that Lovie will use his way? MAYBE the Glazers will force him to draft a QB and we'll have a glimmer of hope.We are stuck. In quicksand. But here it is. Maybe the Buccaneers can win one of the two games on the road coming up. Come home at 1-4 and beat the Ravens. Maybe not. But that's all there is. From the totally false promise of the early summer to one of the three worst teams in the NFL. A team that has had MAJOR player and coaching changes at great expense going nowhere.Don't worry, be happy? Calm down? No. Not from my end. It's been twelve YEARS since our Bucs have won a playoff game. We need to get it right. GET A QB! Get a HC who can work with a QB like ALL the successful HC's do. Lovie will either have to be fired or forced to draft a QB high and get with the 2015 program. It's an offensive league now. Just being flat out offensive is not good enough. Can Lovie REALLY change? Can he make adjustments both long term and game day? I just do not think so.Here's the thing though. He'll have every chance. I HOPE he can, I WANT him to succeed but I highly doubt he can. Prove me wrong Lovie Smith.......PLEASE prove me wrong. Or go away.
