I understand there is a bistory with Tedford and the Carr family - but did anyone expect Derek to come out and say anything other then he would love to play for Tedford? I mean the Bucs hold the 7th pick in the draft. Of course the younger Carr would love to play for the Bucs with Tedford on board and the team holding the 7th pick. It would mean he did enough to prove he is worthy of a first round pick and he went in the top ten if the Bucs drafted him in the first round. i just do not see him being a top ten pick  At this point it could be another year where only one QB goes int he first round. I have not been impressed with any of the QB's in this draft from a standpoint of "Can't Miss" they all have warts - some bigger than others. At this point I have them ranked in the following order: With Bridgewater being the only first rounder and not even top 10.1. Bridgewater2. Manziel3. Bortles4. Carr5. Garoppolo6. McCarron7. Zach Mettenberger

I agree completely.  I don't want to miss out on a chance to get a franchise QB, but I also don't want to reach for one and end up blowing a top 10 pick.  We have a lot more holes than I thought we did, not just QB.  A year ago I really thought our O-line was shaping up to be a huge strength.  Now, not so much.

NO doubt about that. Do the Bucs address it in FA? Or pick up a Josh McCown? Who will be there when FA starts in earnest?

I think my order - at this point - is nearly the same, with the exception of Mettenberger - I'd have him higher than McCarron, even with the injury.  You have to mean first round grade though Yucs, because I can't believe you think only Bridgewater is going in the first. Even if some of these guys drop, there would likely be a stampede to go up and get some of them at the back-end of the first.

I would have McCarron rated higher now based upon character issues.

I like Bridgewater, Bortles and Carr. - All seem to have wonderful work ethic, leadership ability and could be the face of the franchise- All have great arms and seemingly high football IQ's- All 3 have great "upside", which Tedford could bring out (E.g. Carr with his footwork)- All 3 have put up well against top competition. USC game for Carr was tough but his O-Line was demolished.- All 3 pull the trigger and in my opinion throw the ball BEFORE receiver makes his break - showing anticipation and timing.Sometimes we let the perfect be the enemy of the good. "Andrew Lucks" don't come out every year. Pick one that falls to 7, build with him for a year. All 3 are better than Glennon, in my humble opinion.

Build the DL & OL;  then let's talk about "reaching".

Promising QB prospects are sunk playing behind lousy O-lines.  In fact, unless we improve our line I don't think we can properly evaluate Glennon.  I'm with Horse: lets' build our lines, take another year to watch Glennon, and then in 2015 if we feel we need to go a different direction we're giving our new QB the best opportunity to succeed.
