Vick wasn't just "a guy who fought some dogs". He is a sadistic piece of chit who took pleasure in torturing and killing them. And that means outside of "the ring" as well. The problem with Vick isn't the crime, it's the underlying personality that does something like that.
You might be right in what you wrote-I'm not in total agreement.My understanding is Vick was not sentenced to the maximum because all charges could not be "proven" in court so the feds backed down. Granted prosecutors could indict a ham sandwich, if they WANTED to. Those in charge in Surrey county did not want to. It was like a domino, so the state couldn't and therefore the feds couldn't. That's pretty clear in my mind- but then my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. Unc
