The Buccaneers are wasting no time in putting their staff together under new head coach Lovie Smith, officially announcing Jeff Tedford as their new offensive coordinator on Saturday. https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=9552:&Itemid=15
I guess Sully is looking for a job then.
Did he interview with Army yet?
Wonder if Schiano will go with him?

There are some reports he will replace the Giants current OC....who is retiring.

The Giants have not appeared on our 2014 schedule yet. They are on the 2015 schedule though. Wonder if Sully will be there then. Would be nice to see a Tedford vs Sullivan offensive matchup.
With Lovie's historical record, Tedford may not be here in 2015

Well, we might as well just give up now if you think Tedford is going to suck.I happen to think Tedford is going to be a great OC.
What has our record been over the last five years? decade? Yeah, so with that in mind ...why are we upset about Lovie? It's not like he's Dungy of the 90s, he was 10-6 a couple season ago

+1
Tedford likes to run a lot of unbalanced formations to overload zone defenses and also make it harder for m2m coverages. Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson are going to thrive in this type of offense as well as Martiin. Imagine a pro set where both the flanker and split end line up to the right side or the strong side of the formation leaving the back to release to the flat on the weakside of the formation or even to the vacated flat to the strongside as Jackson runs a slant and Mike Williams runs a go route. Throw in Wright and a capable speedy slot WR and things become really interesting. After reading about what other posters have said and what I know about Tedford's offense I am pretty confident that the Bucs will need a speedy slot WR to take advantage of the unbalanced formations. Demps may prove to be worthwhile in this offensive style too.

I agree about Demps being used as a slot receiver more so than a punt returner or running back. I hope he returns Ann Tedford makes that change. That would be killer.

I don't have the names/numbers any more, but Lovie supposedly averaged a new OC every 2 years he was in Chicago.

Considering Smith's Bears missed the playoffs 6 out of his 9 years, and Dungy's Bucs missed the playoffs 2 out of his 6 years, it is true that Smith isn't like the Dungy of the 90's (and into the 2000s).
