I would stay with Glennon as he is adequate.
Adequate? That's all you're after?
if the partying continues in the pros it's too late and it's a wasted 1st round pick.
Its not like we haven't done that before. Gotta keep swinging til u hit the homerun!!

Yes you do. The great ones are hard to find but you have to keep trying. Might as well try and get one that would fill the seats and create a lot of excitement while you're at it. As for Namath and Twitter.....he would have had millions of followers and half of them women! LOL Again though, I don't take too much from a 20 year old having a good time after his freshman year. From what I see on the field johnny has the total respect of his teammates and obviously comes to play. If the partying drops him to 7 and the Bucs DON'T take the kid? Tells me they're not willing to go for the gold at QB. As a fan, I WANT the gold.
Garv, if JFF is there, and the Bucs pass on him, could it be the Bucs are gun shy about taking a qb with a perceived "I like the nightlife" personality. They just flopped with Freeman, as exciting as JFF might be, I could see the Bucs skipping him for one of two reasons, Tedford and Smith see enough in Glennon to try to shore up a weakness elsewhere, or they might select (or drop back in the draft) and grab a "second tier" qb because of JFF's mentality. They need to put butts in the seats, but they are also businessmen and they can't afford to swing and miss with another 1st round qb.

I hear what you're typing but I would take the chance myself. I think you HAVE to take chances to get the franchise QB. Obviously what I would do does not necessarily agree with what the Buccaneers will do. I certainly understand they will have a lot more information on a lot more players than I do. I understand they should make the informed choice. I only type MY choice and that I would be disappointed JFF were there and we passed.

I hear ya Garv, and I can't argue your logic, I agree most picks are crap shoots and you gamble to get "that guy". Imo, I'm hoping they get Matthews to solidify the LT spot, and hopefully Nicks and Joseph return to form, and the Bucs can rely on the M. J. R. Express (Martin, James and Rainey), but that's just one guy's opinion.

I assume no one knows 100% if he goes Freeman, or turns into a studious qb, but my only problem with keep on trying, doesn't that turn the Bucs into the Detroit Lions, where they spent 1st round picks on 4 wrs until they found Megatron? If you swing and miss once (Freeman), I can see trying again, but if JFF is a partier, doesn't missing out on two 1st round qbs start to set the franchise back a bit?

And it makes sense. The Bucs have to find out if Nicks will EVER be back and I think we all have our doubts. I believe we'll know well in advance of the draft whether or not we'll go QB at 7. Who do they pick up in FA? A Josh McCown or a FA G or T or two. So many questions that make this off-season so interesting.
