showed all the commitment I needed to see out of this young man.
Albert Haynesworth played injured. It's football.
wasting your time BR, he's just trolling. He ran up and down the Red Board posting same stuff
He should have been put on injured reserve a lot sooner. And I found it also frightening that the former regime had to debate the idea of putting Martin on injure reserve. Really?

I actually watched Mike Williams play injured. That shows commitment on Mike Williams' part to go out there in a losing season and play. As a fan your commitment is to watch the Bucs play...but apparently you didn't so it is interesting why you don't understand.

Let me also add that for a player to go out there and play while injured in a losing season takes a lot of guts.
Not really - players play injured all the time. An actual injury? One of my teammates - a DT no less - played with a broken leg during a game. That was insane.
This injury was severe enough for him to be put on IR...actually a lot sooner it should have happened.

If you listen really closely, there's a mouse in my pocket playing the worlds smallest violin.....He looked fine on the instagram - hence the perception issues. If you're gonna live your life in the public eye then this is what happens when you slip up, even just a little. He's already under a microscope as a professional athlete, and he's only allowed himself to be scrutinized further by being so active on social media.
It was obvious the guy was playing injured. It. How is that even open for debate. What the hell are some of you boys watching. Clueless PR drones.

I understand that - but there's a difference between say an injury that knocks you out (say an ACL tear) and a nagging injury that severely hampers your production (and puts you on IR because you won't heal in time). Given how Schiano seemed to be pushing Williams to play (and the team held him off IR for a while), it was the second.
Wanting to play on Sunday, even when hurt, is not the whole measure of one's commitment to your craft. As Sapp once said, they don't pay you to play the game on Sunday. They pay you to put the work in during the week. Accumulating fines for absences/tardiness is perhaps an indication that there was a decline in that work ethic which may have led to the hamstring injury in the first place. That, to me, would diminish the admittedly noble and courageous effort to play when hurt.
Players play hurt all the time. That is part of the deal. The problem with Mike is how he approached the game after being put on IR. Not showing up for rehabs and meetings IS a serious red flag. Combine that with tweets bragging about partying and blowing money and I certainly can see cause for concern. It's rather odd that anyone CAN'T see that IMO. But hopefully Mike will realize how this looks, grow up, talk to the coaches and come back at 100%. I think Lovie will give him that chance if he takes it seriously.

Bingo - As Peyton Manning said this week, everybody wants to play on Sunday. It's the other stuff the rest of the week that's hard.
