Having read the Mock Draft in which it is predicted that Tampa takes Derek Carr, I was struck again by why I am happy to be a twenty year Pewter Report/Buc Magazine Subscriber.  Note that no one said that they thought Carr was the best choice or that they agree with the pick.  What you all did was say what you think will happen right now given what you know.  Indeed, SR has said he wouldn't agree with this pick and that he doesn't believe these QB's are worth a number 7 pick.  If Watkins, Matthews or Mack is available, they'd rather us take them.  I get the feeling you all would rather us draft down if we got the chance and were faced with this scenario. What you did is objectively report that you don't think other teams see the upper echelon quarterbacks as worth those picks either, which would leave us in a bind... you have also said that you are not sure Glennon would fit into our system which would point to the need of taking a quality quarterback.  Thank you.  I hope the draft doesn't turn out this way, but what  I liked is the integrity you showed in writing this despite knowing how people would react and the food for thought it gave me.What actually makes me more nervous than taking Carr is the question of if taking two players from Fresno State and "turning our back" on every other college program for the first two rounds of the draft is the way to build a winner in the NFL.  Would appreciate a comment on that, but beyond the words of that article, I just wanted to comment on the bigger picture I saw of how seriously you take your job and profession.
