This is sad day to be a Buc fan!!! A failure of epic proportion!! First, don't know why they had to mess with a good thing, and second, how they could miss so badly. These are freakin hideous!!! WTF were they thinking?
wow!!
there are reason why Cleveland, Oakland, Washington, Giant, Bears, Packers, have such loyal fan bases that go back many generations. It's called TRADITION, and as soon as we start to establish something, our silver-spoon owners, who seem totally out of touch with its teams fans and reality, in general, pull out the NIKE/Maddon UNI Maker and dump this monstrosity on us. IMO, the condescending attitude of ownership thinks of us as digit fans, spell-binded by bells & whistles. this is an insult to me, and just another sign that the NFL is becoming closer to a circus than a game. Obviously, very disappointed that ownership is tearing apart, what I thought was a GREAT look, and 20 years of building a classic look. IMO, these guys(glazer boys) are in way over their head, and this entire area could suffer for their incompetence. Another uni change and NO ONE will have a connection to this team.. sorry for the rant, but really pissed that our "owners" mislead us, by saying "minor changes", and replaced the coolest look in the NFL with, by far, the worst clownsuit in the league.

I've defended the Glazers so many times in the past when others ripped them. But since they failed in giving Coach Schiano year 3 after he cleaned up their mess, when it comes to a uniform change....I don't care.

The truth is we, the fans, have absolutely no say in the matter. There IS no tradition here and apparently the Buccaneers like it that way. All about short attention spans and jersey sales....marketing over tradition. While it is true the new uniforms will be accepted and jersey sales will increase with WINNING, I still feel it was totally unnecessary. But again my opinion, fans opinions, don't matter to the Glazers or the Buccaneers. It's their money, their team and their decisions to make. All we do is shell out dollars to support their ever increasing wealth and show up every Sunday like sheep. Thing is, most of us love it. It's kind of like watching Breaking Bad and being all in with Mr. White while finding his wife and in-laws annoying. So.....after winning some games, getting back to the playoffs and winning there for the first time since 2002 I'm sure the new uniforms will look better. I can live with that. I will have to live with that. Going to the games in what is now throwback gear will be fine as well.

OK, just saw the red "home" uniform and it is much better than the white one. Looks sharper.

Ultimately the uniform doesn't really matter, its the product on the field.I actually like a lot of the "tweaks" like the the darker pewter, chrome grill, reflective tape, etc. but the package looks like garbage to me. Very XFL/Video gameish, but maybe they figure since the older fans are moving on they need to start attracting the younger kids to a new era of the buccaneers.
