I still don't care for them all that much, but....I don't understand all the vitriol toward the Glazers on this one. The reality is that if you aren't an old, traditional franchise - i.e., one that predates the merger - then there's no "classic" look to defend. Plus, as I'm learning as I get older, these things are for younger fans to enjoy, and based on my informal poll of friends and family, they are a lot more popular with them. Probably also explains why the players - who are largely under 30 - seem to love them. I'm not going to rush out and buy a jersey, but so what? I'm still a fan of the team and I'll learn to live with them.

I think the initial backlash was mostly due to bad release pics. They wanted the reflective numbers to pop so they went with a dark shoot with a black background and it resulted in bad pics that made the pewter look like a faded black color. It was a miscalculation and a mistake and it cause a lot of unnecessary negativity. The initial pics look like some sort of Halloween/Falcons hybrid and deserved the backlash imo. Trying to base the entire reveal around a silly novelty like reflective numbers while ignoring how the rest of the uniform's appearance was effected, was just a bad move plain and simple.
Once the good photos came out that actually show a true representation of the new look and new colors, it's really not so bad. Looks like two entirely different uniforms. I personally am still not a big fan of this new look and I hate the numbers....but the black is really what made me hate them initially. I think it was the same for many fans. Once I saw these better pics though, I'm fine. Probably won't ever buy one of these for myself, but they aren't nearly as bad as I first thought.

I agree. When I saw them in the video I thought they looked much better. And if the Bucs start winning with them, everyone will love 'em.
