Heard that a new helmet design and logo are being unveiled on Thursday. I am looking forward to the helmet re-design, but don't mess with our battle-flag logo.
I think redesigning the helmet is a terrible idea. I like it the way it is. Totally unnecessary and a distraction from what really needs to be updated at the stadium, the scoreboard. Leave the uniforms and helmets alone, except for safety improvements. the design is FINE! Good enough for the Super Bowl winning team, good enough for today's team.
If you're upset with this news, blame the NFL and the stupid rule they put in last year on requiring the same helmets all season that would prevent Bucco Bruce from ever being used again with the current design. This was inevitable once throwback weekend got cancelled.

Making the helmet white just so they can match the creamsicle vomit uniforms is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The once-a-year throwbacks should not dictate the color of the helmet for all the other games. It makes no sense.

I don't agree with this. The uni was just fine. It didn't need a change.

It's about dollars, not sense.And for those that are opposed, It's been 17 years and the only constant in life is change.

I'm not against updating the helmet and logo in principle. I just hope it's not compromised by trying to make it creamsicle-friendly. I can't imagine a helmet that would work well with both the pewter and creamsicle uniforms.

New coaching staff, new updated logo and a new day!!! A lot to be excited about. Were not one of the "old timers" in the NFL (Chicago, Green Bay, Raiders, etc.) its a new era and I'm for one excited...we need some new mojo...Go Bucs!!!
No one was clamoring for a logo redesign. The Bucs current logo and helmet is the best in the NFL. Don't mess with it. Out Pewter Pirates Champions are just now getting into the hall of fame which gives even more gravitas to the existing logo.
