I think it is a pretty fair assessment based on last year's performance.  I might move Carl Nicks a notch down, and potentially move Doug Martin a notch upwards but it's debatable.

1. For God sake let's dump Joseph. Even if he cuts his salary by 2/3s he's still close to the worst starter in the league.2. Cut Goldson and use that 1/3 of that money to get a guy who can cover. Use the other 2/3s to get Tillman as our Nr. 2 starting corner. Goldon's skill set is blowing people up, which is no longer legal. He is a poor tackler (bad angles) and poor in coverage.3. I would keep Penn for another year or two, unless we decide to draft Robinson or Mathews in the first round. He is not consistent but he plays well when he has to.

Struck me as being overly critical in places. For example I would put Mason Foster as an adequate starter and Doug Martin as a solid starter.I also don't consider Nicks as elite right now because he is never on the field,I think they did this by reputation rather than abilities. For example based on last years performance would you consider Revis elite or High quality? I would say the latter, and that is still partly reputation based.

What I'd expect from just plugging numbers into a computer - accurate in some places off in others. As has been said - Nicks will likely never play a down and Revis was solid - hopefully he's back to "elite" status now that he's fully healed. Our weakness is at DE and G, but we need a 3rd WR more than we need a TE. An upgrade from Owusu will be a lot greater than an upgrade from Crabtree/Wright. Martins is better than projected, but is hurt by his poor start to the year. At this point it's him or VJax as our best player on offence and Jackson is on the downside of his career. Also overly critical of Spence and overly positive with Gholston - the guy has upside and has looked good, but as Bowers has taught us doesn't mean a whole lot.Joseph is giong to have to at least take a pay cut, but if there are no better options (and there very well might not be) you do something like sign Alex Mack, move Zuttah to reserve, and monitor Joseph. While he's never been a superstar, Joseph was a solid player for us in the past and PFF has been, in my mind, overly critical of him.

FWIW Revis graded out as PFFs #1 corner last year I believe.  That would make him elite to me.

That he's pretty darn good.  Look, I played corner in college, and live in NYC.  I watched every one of Revis' snaps when he was on the Jets and while he wasn't that same player last year, he was about as close as can be expected coming off ACL surgery.  ACL for a corner isn't like ACL for a RB.  Peterson is a freak of nature, but RBs, for the most part, still dictate their movements whereas corners are the most reactive position on the field.  In any major injury there is the battle to get your body healthy, and once that happens, there is an entirely different battle to get your mind to trust that your body is now healthy.  For a RB who knows where he is going, or wants to go, that is a much easier process than it is for a corner who is trying react to some of the best athletes in the world in split second.Sorry for the essay, but watching Revis last year, you saw still one of the best corners to ever play the game.  Maybe only Richard Sherman was better than him, and even then, that is debatable.  Sherman got beat just as much as Revis did, and Revis had less of a supporting cast (not easy to cover someone when the opposing QB knows they will get next to no pressure from a 4-man front).  Just because he wasn't the Revis of old and allowed a few passes and got beat doesn't mean he still isn't at the top when it comes to corners.  He was just THAT much better than everyone else previously, and, like I said, I expect him to be THAT much better than everyone next year now that he'll have a full offseason to get comfortable that his knee is healed.

Overall I like the analysis.  I thin they are more than a bit hard on AC IMO, and Nicks shouldn't even be in there.  I think Foster has a chance to get better whereas they seem to have him locked in as below average.  They are a bit higher on Zuttah than I would be, and I can't for the life of me understand why they are marking Owusu as unknown.  I guess Wright's grade is hurt by the blocking.
