I of course found Gruden's extension interesting: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12035034/jon-gruden-agreed-contract-extension-espn The question I had, and curious for others' thoughts (including PR): It seemed to me that no team actually was that interested in hiring Gruden after being let go by the Bucs. While his name was regularly connected with coachign jobs, he's never come close to being hired (as far as we know). This seems odd for a guy that has professed to love coaching as much as he does, and who's agent hsa aggressively put his name out there for jobs.If true, that would suggest to me that letting Gruden go wasn't a mistake (which I believe). While the coaches that were hired in his place WERE mistakes, the fault wasn't with Gruden being fired.Curious what everyone else thinks.
