Don't think trading away a talented player like Revis on a talent-deprived team like the Bucs is that out there at all. Think Herschel Walker - he was the ONLY good player on a terrible Cowboys team. It's just that if you DO trade him, you're only doing it if you get a lot for it.
I thought SR backtracked on the Carr pick in his last mock draft? Running fast and jumping well doesn't really change the analysis I read... it's black and white. We either pass on a QB or we don't, all based upon whether the staff thinks Glennon has any juice to be squeezed.
Bizarre. Just bizarre. Is there a high end WILL or CB the Bucs should draft at #7 just in case David or Revis get hurt or need a blow?
You really can't go wrong by picking the 1st or 2nd best OL at spot 7. Most succeed immediately and fill a spot for many years. It would be silly to trade Revis, but I still favor sending some feelers out there about Doug Martin. I would take a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year for him and that is strictly my opinion. We have other backs that can fill that role and Martin in two seasons proves that small guys are more injury prone.

I agree on the OL, and I agree on Martin. I like Martin but in my opinion RBs aren't worth more than a third rounder, and even then only after you have your offensive line squared away. I also would be perfectly fine with trading Revis if we can get a decent pick for him. He's great, but I hate the idea of devoting 1/8 of our cap to any player who isn't a star QB. Love Scott's idea of picking Donald as well. I think it's very likely he'll be the BPA when our pick comes around, and it wouldn't shock me if he turns out to be a better player than Clowney.

What?!?!
Horse. You're talking about trading two top tier players for a hand full of unprovens? Why? The theory "More is better" does not apply here.
I love Doug Martin... personally, I think it's a mistake to move quality when you're quality-deprived like we are. The only thing that doesn't make it crazy is that this regime has stated, without a doubt, that the RB split will be something like 60/70% to a primary back. Doug Martin was drafted by the previous regime to be the workhorse. The OL was built around Martin's style of running and is going to be totally retooled for more athleticism so why not start over with the whole running game as well? If they can get real value for Dougernaut, I have no doubt they'd consider moving him.

If you're moving him though you have to get more/better draft picks than we got. And I think this concept of somehow getting less carries will diminish much what Martin means to this team. Think of Matt Forte, Chris Johnson, Ray Rice - all these players in their best years had good backups spelling them. While Martin certainly CAN be a workhorse, why reduce his effectiveness both late in the season and shorten his career? I don't think that means you trade him unless you get great value.

Not sure that's true Horse. If you look at the number of OL drafted over the last few drafts the hit rate isn't necesarily that high. For every Joe Thomas there's a Jason Smith. I actually posted some numbers previously but I can't get the search function to work to find the post. Anyone know how to get it to work? Anyways, you may be right that the hit rate on OL is higher than average, or other positions (like DE or WR). What I don't know is if it's significant enough to actually be much safer than other positions.
The OL was built around Martin's style of running .
all of our OL were here before martin, right?
GT - coffee out one's nose is uncomfortable.... I am uncomfortable - but still chuckling...
Martin is the most overrated player on this team. He is good. You'd think he was knocking on the door to a HOF career listening to people here talk about him though.
Judging from the negative reviews our OL is getting and looking at the numbers Martin has put up I would not say HOF. I would not shop him either.
