To be truthful, it's the ability of the team to get into the huddle and up to the LOS and then BLOCK that makes that offense work, more than Mariota himself. He is not IMO an impressive downfield passer, but given his speed running and ability to read where he's got an advantage in blocking once the ball is snapped and QUICKLY get the ball there that makes that offense go. It's essentially a long handoff. BUT, without their blocking skills, especially on the edges IN SPACE, this would not work even in college, and ESPECIALLY in the NFL.
