I didn't like trading Alex Torres for Logan Forsythe when the deal was made, and I sure as hell don't like it any more now. Torres would be an excellent candidate to fill one of those starting spots. He's been great for SD this season.Anybody understand the rationale behind that one? I get trading a strength (pitchers) for a weakness (bats), but Logan Forsythe is average at best. Torres was excellent last season.
I don't think they were anticipating losing 3 of their top 5 pitchers to injury by week 2 of the season.
Obviously, but Torres was still an extremely valuable piece out of the bullpen who could start in a pinch. Trading him for a platoon/utility player who really hasn't done squat in the league doesn't make much sense.
McGee needs to be the closer.Ball four blows.
Good rebound.Price needs to pitch like an ace tomorrow.
