Biggs is 100% correct. Miggy bats 3rd, Ortiz bats 3rd, Cano bats 3rd....... Your best hitter should be in the three spot.

I'm not sure why you're being so stubborn about it, because I'm pretty sure you know why you want a run producer hitting third and not leadoff.
The best run producer on the team bats 3rd. The second best run producer on the team bats 4th.The two best on base guys bat first and second so the three and four guys can drive them in.Not that complicated.
It's actually not that simple. The Red Sox have Napoli behind ortiz (I'd argue Pedroia is actually the best hitter in the Sux, but that's another discussion). Tigers have V Martinez behind Miggy. Even the Mariners have big power guys like Hart and Smoak behind Cano. Rays do not have anyone to compare to those guys (especially Napoli and Martinez). Maddon has had to juggle line ups to maximize run opportunities and done so successfully enough to keep the team winning within mediocre at best lineups.
