I guess the Rays will have to settle for 4-5 good prospects and hope for the best. They have to do something though, no way they can keep Price around. Too expensive. So now is the time to move him. IMO
Rays are on a roll.
I like the winning streak but I agree NOW is the time to move Price. And I get a little perturbed when I hear rumblings that he should be retained because of this nice run their having. Sure anything can happen. But to get to 90 wins, the Rays will have to finish 52-23, or a .693 percentage. And 90 wins would not have even made the American League wildcard last year. The only thing is though, imo, they have to get a Will Meyers/Odorizzi/ Shields type trade. Personally, I'd prefer one of the very top batting prospects. If they are not offered at least one top minor league prospect, then I'd just keep Price and tell all the MLB contenders to enjoy their summer. But I have to believe one of the contenders either has already or soon will make a good offer. I'm more concerned the Rays might pass.
If they got a good enough offer they would trade Price right now, I am willing to bet. Waiting closer to the deadline when teams become more desperate.

Yep
Well they just ran into a buzz saw there.Going to be a long series.
Intriguing. Hak-Ju Lee was suppose to be the future at SS, I meant Tim Beck..nvm but the way its looking we will be lucky if this guy makes to the ML. Batting horribly in triple A after tearing the lower level minors up. Either way its a good insurance and in about 4 years, this Randon kid may be everything we needed. If we trade Price we need to get a high profile bat in here. The offense stinks out loud has been for awhile and "pitching and defense" can only hold up for so long. Sucks we didn't win the World Series when the offense was probably at its highest point with Carl Crawford and Upton in the line-up.
