Of all the things that have happened this arguably the most surprising. California is still counting and Bernie should win CA but a couple myths were shattered last night (or at least put on life support)
1 Bernie is the toughest opponent for Trump
This was always the dumbest claim ever and proof that the alt-right cocoon is both powerful and filled with dumb people who are easily fooled
I posted a 40,000 person survey they stated that Bernie couldn’t win because it would require HISTORICAL youth turnout, beyond even what Obama turned out. Generally speaking that youth vote did NOT really materialize last night (CA may be the exception)
2. The news is not “fake” it’s just dumb
The news had Biden out of the race at Nevada. If you’re one of the doors who posted that here, strike 2 for the cocoon. If you got both 1 and 2 wrong, maybe you should find a new hobby :-)
Anyway, kidding aside, the “news” is filled with good people but very few bright journalists and many tv personalities. This leads to the thoughts of a very few analysts being amplified and many of those analyst are being fed info by the participants
3. Interesting Convention ahead?
It’s one thing to have a split of delegates, it’s another entirely to have a split with Biden substantially in the lead. Not sure if that will happen but Biden should lose CA but win most big states that follow and there’s also the Bloomberg question
4. Does Bloomberg bow out?
Not a good night. But if you want to go back to Biden’s night just add Bloomberg’s totals.
Interested to see what happens now with Bloomberg. Presumably Warren holds on until convention
