Cerebras made trillion transistor large scale chips a few years ago. This year, they made 2.6 trillion chips. And, they plan on making denser large scale chips. Here, Cerebras combines 190+ of their large scale chips. They are able make 100 trillion parameter A.I. models with it. The human brain has 86 billion neurons; but, it has 100 trillion synapses between these neurons. Cerebras 120 parameter A.I. models exceeds the parallel computation of the human brain.
Like a small calculator being able to calculate arithmetic much faster than a human, these things can compute faster than a human(and I suspect that Cerebras combining more than 190 of their trillion transistor chips can make larger than 120 trillion parameter A.I. models), but that doesn't mean they are conscious.
