Ahhhh great argument. Can you please enlighten me on the rampant plagiarism in the bible?
He is referring to the Noah Story et al that apparently has similar versions in other civilizations.
The most famous paleontologist in the world, Harvard’s Stephen Jay Gould, said, “The extreme rarity of transitional forms in the fossil record persists as the trade secret of paleontology.” (Note” “extreme rarity” is Harvard-speak for “nada, zilch, zippo.”)
He didn't say that. This is classic quoting mining and taking him out of context. Gould knows full well we have a bevy of transitional forms, a whole crap ton of them for the fish to tetrapods change. Whales retuning to the ocean is insanely well documented. Horse evolution is a famous sequence. The theropod to avian sequence is so flippin' good it makes scientists cry. Oh, and there is all that human transitional form stuff going on. The funny thing about fossils is this whole things works EXACTLY like evolution predicts. The are not tetrapods before before fish. There are not avian a prior to the transitional forks appearing. The ability to look at the massive, overwhelming, crushing weight of reality and declare there is no evidence is truely the mark of an unwell mind.
thats a great analogy. Gravity and evolution are both theories. lmao
Again there is a difference between the way you use "theory" and mean hypothesis and the way science used theory. Gravity is a theory. The germ theory if disease is...well and theory.
“There are no detailed Darwinian accounts for the evolution of any fundamental biochemical or cellular systems, only a variety of wishful speculations.”
A short search reveals what anyone who has read even briefly on this subject knows, there are a crap ton of articles on the evolution of these thingsMitochondria: http://www.nature.com/scitable/topicpage/the-origin-of-mitochondria-14232356 Now two of Michael Behe's favoritesBlood clotting: http://www.millerandlevine.com/km/evol/DI/clot/Clotting.html or http://www.cbs.dtu.dk/staff/dave/Behe.html Flagellum: in video form for the short attention span types: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdwTwNPyR9w I could go on and on and on.
