In a March PUBLICITY stunt, DeSantis signed a law that almost served no actual purpose, SB2006. Among other things, the "law" made it so that "your personal choice regarding vaccinations will be protected and no business or government entity will be able to deny you services based on your decision. The "law" included $5000 daily fines for business who premised service on proof of vaccination.

he had his con job, champion of the people moment.

Unfortunately for him, the cruise industry was working to re-open and obtained "approval from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [to] begin operating out of Port Everglades by the end of June. The approval requires 100 percent of crew members and 95 percent of passengers to be vaccinated."

That means the CDC approval puts the cruise industry at odds with DeSantis' clown show law. $5,000 FINES All around!

DeSantis has sued the CDC

he wants you to know he is going to win!

In the real world, he said he was "going to win" as the CDC and the state go into their second day of . . . . mediation :-)

"According to court documents, lawyers from both sides held a settlement conference on Thursday and are scheduled to meet again Tuesday. DeSantis, a Yale Law School graduate, noted Friday the mediation process is currently underway.

“You know, maybe there will be a resolution,” he said. “My view is, ultimately, we wanted to vindicate the state’s immediate interest with this. But there is a larger point, and I am confident we will win the case.”

win . . . mediation
