Just an FYI, if you live in the Tampa area, particularly near the water.
This is very unlikely (only one model shows this path right now), but the so-called worst case scenario for Dorian and Tampa Bay would be a CAT 3 (or 4) passing though the state and exiting north of Tampa into the Gulf during a high tide because this would have the rotation of the storm pushing already high water back up into the Bay.
I could be wrong, but I think Dorian would, hypothetically speaking, exit into the Gulf during a "king tide," which is a rare and unusually high tide.
again, unlikely but . . .
