Energy-free superfast computing invented by scientists using light pulses

Using lasers and spin of quantum particles, researchers have created energy free computing.

I like this one quote in the article about dealing with the heat from supercomputers,

"The problem is so acute that Microsoft has even submerged hundreds of its data centre services in the ocean in an effort to keep them cool and cut costs."

They also used terahertz terahertz wavelenghts; the terahertz electromagnetic spectrum was not available till the early 2000s. Terahertz and metamaterials making for diffraction free optics and even cloaking was two of the biggest breakthroughs back in the early 2000s.
