The really dumb thing he did recently - that no competent advisor would have allowed - was he sued Latitia James claiming she had no basis to investigate him.
That literally FORCED her to defend herself by showing what she had, which is a lot of evidence of fraud
Recall that she is just the CIVIL investigation so her filings - completely unnecessary without Trumps suit - put the DA under real pressure to INDICT because Trumps shenanigans are now public record
This is why Mazars withdrew. They can’t take the very public heat that Trump unnecessarily created for them
