a few days ago, a Rusiian opposition leader was jailed again AFTER potentially being poisoned by the Kremlin

On the same day, I think, the State Department finally announced the weakest of sanctions against Ruussia from a prior poisoning on English soil in 2018

On the same day (I think), Trump speaks with Putin about fires in Siberia, but never mentions this or Russian interference. Trump later mocks a question about Russian interference in 2020 as, essentially, a "hoax."

The three top Trumpian Senators are trending on Twitter as:

#MoscowMitch (he took millions and an oligarch is building a aluminium plant in KY)

#LeningradLindsey (agon, took millions)

#RussiaRand ( https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/08/rand-paul-donald-trump-perfect-russia-stooge)

The Dall Morning News has been all over this story form the outset:

How Putin's oligarchs funneled millions into GOP campaigns

Editor's note May 8, 2018: This column originally published December 15, 2017. New allegations about $500k in payments from a Russian oligarch made to Trump attorney Michael Cohen have placed it back in the news.
