I will. He may be a very bright, coherent senior. The younger may be an **CENSORED**. They might both be. In this instance it's is the presence of the gun that creates the death....not the dispute ...the death.  It takes two stupid human beings for there to be a dispute but if there is no gun no one likely dies. You have a physical altercation at worst but others likely intervene or a senior never a feels emboldened enough to push the issue. The stupidity of two people creates the dispute but the gun is the proximate cause of the death. Because guns are lethal they turn disputes into death unnecessarily. They provide much less of a buffer for stupidity.

Stupid is as stupid does Vin. People drink and drive and then kill people in accidents. I don't want to get into an argument about equivalence just demonstrate you can't legislate against all stupidity, and even if you do, some will still ignore it because they are, well, stupid. Case in point, guns were supposedly banned from that cinema. Whats more if you were to ban everything that might cause harm with stupid actions, we would be very cold and living in caves.

Spartan, you proved my point for me. You cannot legislate away stupidity and people break rules ... This event was a collision of two stupid people both breaking rules (the theater has a rule against cell phone use too). The easiest thing to control in this instance is not stupidity, human nature, rule breaking ... It's what?.... the gun ... The very thing that is the proximate cause of the death. Stupidity and rule breaking caused the dispute. The gun caused the death. But for the gun ....

So your answer is to legislate (ban) items that stupid people might do stupid things with. Where do you stop?

Odd how many people do that on here, no?

Now .... Let me go buy an "assault rifle" online so I can go watch Disney's Frozen with my kids. Lol.

God bless those kids.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/01/15/gun-owners-encounter-with-police-disturbed-him-so-much-that-hes-thinking-about-canceling-his-ccw-permit/ After what felt like an eternity, police issued only a warning after they failed to find a firearm in the vehicle. Kally told the Tribune the search likely took roughly 90 minutes.“All that time, he’s humiliating me in front of my family, making me feel like a criminal. I’ve never been to prison, never declared bankruptcy, I pay my taxes, support my 20 employees’ families; I’ve never been in any kind of trouble,” Filippidis said.“And he wants to put me in jail. He wants to put me in jail. For no reason. He wants to take my wife and children away and put me in jail. In America, how does such a thing happen? … And after all that, he didn’t even write me a ticket,” he added. How does this happen? People like Vin, that's how. This situation is okay right Vin? Harassing someone for literally no other reason than he owns a gun? What was that "fear" argument you kept repeating, claiming it's illogical to believe the more we give the more they'll take? Yeah, there's no evidence of that going on. There are more stories like this if you'd like me to post them.

I haven't been keeping track, but is vin still claiming that he is not for the banning of all guns.    Because short of an all out ban I'm not sure what further legislation would have prevented this incident.

I was in a theater once when my friend threw his popcorn at a girl sitting near us. We were 15. The cop panicked and is done for, the guy who threw the popcorn sounds like a **CENSORED**.

Apparently the shooter has done the same thing before to others.  A couple came forward and had an incident with the old man recently at the same theater.Any gun toting person care to address the issue of an old and senile person packing heat?

The woman claimed he was glaring at her the entire time. How would she know that unless she was also glaring at him the entire time? Either way, that incident is hardly noteworthy. How do you know he was senile? Do you even know what that means? In the GZ thread you said you wanted him to fry, later on you claimed you never said you wanted him executed. Use words you know the meaning of, it helps. Also, don't make assumptions.

I NEVER claimed he was senile.  Please show me where I did.  I asked any gun toter to address when a gun should be taken from someone.  I have to believe that as many gun owners get older there will be higher incidences involving seniors with decreased faculties.  Sorry, but I don't want some senile dude packing anywhere.  I never this guy was senile but how do you handle that MAJOR MAJOR problem going forward.
