Ok guys, I just saw this thread and wanted to clear some mis information up that you are seeing in the media. I'm a family friend of the victim. 1) there was popcorn thrown. It was from the back of the theatre from another movie goer telling them both to sit down once it began escalating.2 chad wasn't texting, he was reading sports on his phone from the corner of his thigh during previews3 the first interaction was the old man telling him to put his F@&$ing phone away. Chad is hot headed and told the guy to go f himself.Just wanted to clear that up.

For sure, Nicole had her ring finger shot off when the gun discharged, needs a couple procedures to get it back to being right. She is going to make the media rounds soon because the defense is going to pull out all stops to character assassinate chad. Killers wife sat there motionless from start to finish even after the cops drug him out. Blank look giving the impression that (pure speculation here) that she is either abused or just given up. Could have been shock. She never spoke a single word from beginning to end. Just weird!
Please just let the family know some of us convey our condolences. I don't care how the situation escalated i mentioned my opinion earlier in the thread. It is a sad occasion that people can't just do their due diligence and let others handle the matters. I guess mall cop didn't like that it was the previews...(still your able to text and read at the time). I frequent that movie theater with my family and really don't feel too comfortable going back. The sign there says "Gun Free Zone" why take a gun there? Maybe looking to be John Wayne? Hero of the Day? I wonder if he did go out to get his gun too? I keep hearing this clique' in the back of my mind "cooler heads prevail" and wonder if men even try to adjust their judgement so things could work out amicably? Again I am very sorry the Wife lost her husband so unnecessarily and stupidly. The Mall Cop got way out of hand. And now hearing stories coming out that he has done this before. Which also shows he can't disconnect that he is off duty or no longer a police officer so he must try to fulfill the void in another manner that he deems needs his attention. "Gun Free Zone" means just that on private property and I am sure he will face the music on that also...OBD

Look your question is ambiguous and in this thread we were discussing guns on this issue. Some have carried it way too far to high jack the thread. Ok to those highjackers you win now go play your theory and application war games somewhere else concerning principles of gun control. I am a gun owner with a few and get tired of the stupid arguments for or against. No one can regulate ones reasoning understand knowledge or wisdom of using a gun, not even through regulation. But through Education by some of the Leaders in my life I have learn how, when and where if i ever need to use my weapon. I am not a zealot for gun control but I am also not going to let you take away my right to own one or for you to want to bring in police to check everyone of my weapons. You folks argue to where it become futile. Concerning Vin there is no dicussion, that's the problem.Gun control is an oxymoron. Gun control will work as well as the prohibition and the war on drugs.

You have no idea what the crazy person’s desired outcome is. 7. The crazy person sees anything you have done as justification for what he’s about to do. 8. Anything nice you do for the crazy person, he will use as ammunition later. 9. The crazy person sees any outcome as vindication. 10. When you start caring what the crazy person thinks, you’re joining her in her craziness.
