As my username suggests, I hail from across the pond where gun laws are very strict, handguns and automatic rifles are illegal and gun crime, although still exists, is minor.
My question is this; what is the logical need or purpose of owning an automatic firearm such as the AR-15 or AK-47?
I'm genuinely interested to hear from both sides as I know some are pro gun whereas others are anti gun.
Is it a status symbol or purely for entertainment purposes at a legitimate shooting range?
Honestly not trolling as I am actually interested to hear people's points of view
