Of all the events discussed here relating to impeachment the most monumental one may have happened today.
Trumps lawyers just wrote Bolton claiming the book contents are classified
This is significant because they’ve had the manuscript for more than a month,, never asserted this claim until now when Bolton was going to testify AND after Bolton’s side has already said it’s not classified.
Those facts may not hold true but if they do you have the makings of a true Nixonian effort to conceal the truth because the President appears to be prepared to after-the-fact classify a book to keep its contents from going out
That would so signal a cover up that there would be a massive battle between Congress and the WH and a possible future impeachment (as crazy as that sounds)
Right now four moderate Senators are now doubt having their lives threatened by McConnell and the WH. No way they let Bolton testify.
Could be wrong in the facts but we will see.
