Clinton testified before a GJ (and was impeached) precisely because he declined to fight Congressional subpoena power
Clinton accepted his impeachment by apologizing
we now have WH counsel and Congressional counsel suggesting that the other side are something less than American, that their motives are evil, all a direct reflection of Trumpism (really Cohnism/McCarthyism).
So, where Nixon and Clinton actually pulled back, healed wounds and brought country back together FOR THE SAKE OF THE COUNTRY, this impeachment will only deepen the WOUNDS, the inevitable outcome of the Roy Cohn/ McCarthy way.
