http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/07/cop-who-drew-gun-on-man-filming-him-says-man-deserved-it/#p3 Thankfully, the officer only brandishes his firearm here.  The article indicates the PD is challenging the suit, so I will be interested in how this plays out.  Disappointed to read the officer here was cleared by the department. I don't think the officer should be fired for his actions, but would like to know that we don't officially condone them either.  Maybe clearing him relates to the pending suit though?  Just guessing if they sanctioned him in any way it would probably chop the legs from their defense. Not that it would be a good reason to clear him.
