Trump doubles down on threat to Iranian cultural sites, demands Iraq pay for U.S. base
Asked about fears Iran might retaliate, the president told reporters: "If it happens, it happens. If they do anything, there will be major retaliation."
I understand the tough guy thing, but this has played out as
1. POTUS advocates criminal activity
2. Sec of State says thats not what he meant
3. POTUS said that is what I meant
4. Kellyanne Conway says "some cultural sites are military sites
Probably too obvious to mention, but normally a POTUS would never say something like that because its weak, not tough, especially if/when you don't back it up, but also because the moral high ground is important in a "battle of hearts and minds" and with Iran trying to sever our relationship with allies.
We've no assassinated someone and are announcing our intention to act like the scum that w view as terrorist such as ISIS and the Taliban
we will see how it all plays out
