The House has elected to try this case of incitement of insurrection largely on circumstantial evidence and using media reports rather than witness testimony. It is trial by innuendo and implication rather than direct evidence of what former President Donald Trump knew and intended on Jan. 6.
Heard this the other day and recognized this point right away. They used a media report from the day after that said was unsourced and said what Mike Lee thought was said. This happened a day after in another report Mike Lee mentioned the phone call but did not say what was said.
So we're about to hear a whole lot of whining from Fire about how the Republican shit show is destroying democracy by not taking an insurrection seriously and a whole lot of crickets about the fact that Democrats are not conducting this in a professional way. The only reason they are doing it is for public consumption period.
