How about a butthurt lawyer instead? Vin seems to have a lot of time on his hands.

The amount we talk about gun laws >>>>>>>>>>>>>> the amount we make meaningful changes to gun laws.

We?  It's one schmuck that has made dozens of threads because he's butthurt.

We as in the entire country. I wasn't solely addressing the people on this message board. Also, not to state the obvious, but this thread (and I'm sure the others) have more than posts from just one person. Have you considering ignoring people?

"Dear Gun Lovers: We're coming for your guns! Continue worrying about guns while we go over here and legalize gay marriage and pot. It should be obvious from the last 20 years that this whole gun laws things could tip in either direction at any moment. Oh and keep working on abortion ... you're almost there! Any day now! Also I'm not 100% convinced Obama was born in the US ... you should look into that again. It's a very important use of your time. Oh and the war against Christmas. Totally a real thing! Don't let your guard down!"You certainly like to paint with a broad brush. I'm for legalizing gay marriage and marijuana. I'm pro-choice and believe that separation of church and state is an absolute necessity.

I assume from context you are also pro-gun and are trying to make some case for me unfairly stereotyping because you believe (or choose to believe for the purpose of making a point on an internet message board) that outliers mean one cannot make a single accurate statement about the well-known and established majority beliefs of a group of people. Good luck with that. (Also kudos on not just treating that line as a joke and actually seriously addressing it ... have you considered attending a rally I'm organizing to stop the growing momentum in our culture for eating Irish people?)

Take your own advice; shut your piehole and move along.

Did you miss when I made a similar point myself or did you get yourself in such a state trying to score points that you couldn't resist saying this even though I already addressed this issue myself anticipating the obvious responses of average intelligence people? Then you say, "It's pretty impressive you can anticipate the responses of people twice as intelligent as yourself."I know right!Seriously though it seems like you really addressed the core of my argument. It's annoying when people cherry-pick irrelevant technical details to try to score points even though the segment of the message they choose to address had literally nothing to do with the main point of the message. Could that be one of the reasons why discussions like this inevitably fail to make progress? Nobody knows! (I know. It is.)And my taking time to post this point twice is *exactly* the same thing as continuing to waste your life babbling incessantly about stalemate issues like gun control over and over again and changing the minds of literally not one single person ever. Same exact thing!I'll bow out of the argument now and leave you guys to it. Good luck pro-gun and anti-gun people: let me know if either side manages to change the mind of one single person any time in the next decade and I'll buy you a coke.

How that guy managed to jam so many self-contradictions in so few posts is quite an impressive feat.
