Scientists have been playing with metamaterials for a few decades now; they've been able to get electron microscopes to see individual atoms(STM's had done so since the late 1970s), and make cloaking devices. And, they've been playing with quantum entanglement at least since the early 1980s with the Alain Aspect experiment. Now, they've combined the two!
On almost any given day, there's a quantum computer breakthrough announcement; but, this one combined to main breakthroughs into one!
