Israel Finkelstein, in his "Bible Unearthed" was willing to collect and present a lot of the Biblical archaeology that others left in academic circles. He shows how Abraham, the Exodus, the towers of Jericho, well, he shows the truths of them. One truth that people liked to hang on to was the existence of David. They'd point to this tablet, and say, David existed; well, Israel Finkelstein just knocked down that stone as well!
