Sigourney Weaver made a Planet Earth after this original Planet Earth video series. Sigourney's Planet Earth is more eye candy than science. I grew up seeing and watching this original Planet Earth video series; and, so, I'm a little partial to them!
Most science documentaries get taken down from youtube; this one has stayed up. I have the video series on dvd(I don't think these are readily available anymore), but I like to watch this youtube because it's from a Kurdistan Planetarium. Kurdistan is in Iraq; it's fascinating that someone in Iraq is inspired enough to make and operate a planetarium in Iraq. A lot of waring and such stuff going on in there.
As with a lot of these science documentaries, a lot of the topics are out of order. I'm thinking it's pretty hard to organize some of this; but, I'll try.
