Politicians know that people are far too busy to pay attention to details, so they love catch phrases. Romney's vote gives birth to the "bi-partisan" impeachment, even though in reality its a joke to say that.

Anyway, love him or hate him, Romney's speech was one for the history books, and, politically speaking, a work of art. He gave a clear rationale for HIS position, without trashing everyone else and, obviously, a show of political courage, doing the right thing etc (although hes one of the least exposed GOP Senators)
