I've actually been watching a bunch of Sir Alec Guinness interviews, and then I found the Star Wars trailers video above. I thought I'd post it and a favorite Star Wars documentary that captures the Star Wars mania back then. I'd compare the Star Wars mania to the 1960s Beatles mania!
I remember telling my young cousin that they didn't have nearly the great youth that 80s kids had(obviously late 1970s as well!). We had the Original Star Wars trilogy of course, but also the Superman I and II with Christopher Reeve, Alien I and II, Terminator I and II, . . . we had the original G.I. Joe stick figures and the Transformers, both the cartoons and the toys . . . . we had the original Mtv before it became the teenage personal problem channel.
