Obviously one of America’s greatest poets, but Frost also appeared once on Meet the Press. On the show, he said that the great paradox of America was that even with tremendous wealth it didn’t have enough money to buy its children the HARDSHIPS they needed to succeed.
The GREATEST GENERATION grew up during the Great Depression and then sacrificed what little they had to save the world in World War II.
Their BABY BOOMER children grew up in an era of American prosperity. Has any generation been more destructive? Baby Boomers created counter culture only to become a generation of greed, unconcerned about ethics. Today, they control a US government that is eating itself, destroying all that was built before. For perhaps the first time in modern American history, Baby Boomers will leave the country in worse condition than it found it, saddling filling generations with sharply divided government, massive unnecessary debt (that threatens markets already) and with greatly diminished influence in the world.
Today, Boomers are destroying the country with a spoiled dying gasp and, ironically, doing so by claiming they want to make America Great Again (the America that was created by Great Depression and two World Wars)
