Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov:
“The Western liberal model of development, which particularly stipulates a partial loss of national sovereignty – this is what our Western colleagues aimed at when they invented what they called globalization – is losing its attractiveness and is no more viewed as a perfect model for all. Moreover, many people in the very western countries are skeptical about it,” Lavrov said.
This is Bannon and, therefore, by extension Trump:
"Steve Bannon’s extensive travels in Europe this year have not drawn as much attention as they should have, given that he is the key theoretician of U.S. President Donald Trump’s signature brand of nationalism. Bannon now wants to build a federation of nationalist parties in Europe. And yet, one wonders how an “America First” ideologue can pursue his political project anywhere other than in America. By joining forces with the French far-right leader Marine Le Pen—herself an open supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin—Bannon seems to have in mind a new type of “neo-nationalist international.”
Bannon is behind Brexit and the current mess in the US, all supported by Russia. Crazy to think that we have hyper-nationalist (MAGA, evangelicals) siding with Russia and Putin.
