I think the situations are slightly different but hes already getting crushed for calling black protesters in Minnesota "thugs" who should get shot and saying that white protesters in Charlottesville were "very fine people."
So, in order to be fair I went and looked at the statement form Trump. Here;s his furst statement from Charlotsville and its great, but contrast it with the tweet:
WHITE
"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides, on many sides. It's been going on for a long time in our country. … It has no place in America. What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society. And no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play or be with their parents and have a good time. … We must love each other, respect each other and cherish our history and our future together. So important. We have to respect each other. Ideally, we have to love each other."
Black
""These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"
the Unite the Right rally was planned, so maybe the difference in the statement is the White House Pr versus a tweet, but that rally was 1 dead, 34 injured,
