This whole ridiculous episode basically stems from a completely out of its element and amateurish transition team NOT grasping the problem with a) having a non-traditional, non-diplomat (Flynn) engage in these kinds of negotiations and b) then LIE about them. That makes human immediate Russian asset risk because they have leverage on him.
