Two (of many) recent stories on guns in America.From the shooting in South Carolina:"Cowles told Reuters that authorities were at Roof's home, and that his nephew had been given a .45-caliber handgun from his father for his birthday in April"From the Washington Post on a CT gun control measure: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2015/06/12/gun-killings-fell-by-40-percent-after-connecticut-passed-this-law/ less than perfect truth in all stories, but . . . its worth noting the CT applied to private sales as well, not sure about gifts
