Harris didn't want to spend all night fact checking but in doing so she missed some layup. Thought she did ok, she "won" but not by as much as I expected. She got caught on the fracking lie - but the flip flop there speaks to the appeal for moderates I suppose.

Pence was civil which I appreciated but he still couldn't shut up during Harris' turn and it comes off as mansplaining. He brought pink eye which was great. The fly made for some hilarious memes. He lied a lot which is nothing new.

Both candidates won't answer questions but only Pence called Harris out for not answering a question and he doubled down on it... a good play by him and a miss by Harris to not return the favor on all the questions Pence didn't answer (which was close to a 90% clip).

This debate didn't swing one way or the other IMO. Harris should have won by more but I think the Dems are being cautious with their lead. Not sure I love that approach "play to not lose".

Wish they would both answer questions.

And I'll answer the one question FOR Harris. Yes, if you force through a SCJ less than a month before an election, the Dems will expand the court. Her point with Lincoln was fantastic. So of the GOP wants to stack the courts then bitch about the Dems stacking the courts, I'm not surprised one bit at that hypocrisy.

We will stack away because "elections have consequences".
