If you think back about the many "ends justify the means" things that transpired during the Trump admin and especially the end here, are Trump's current supporters (citizens and government) essentially Trumpism dead-enders, meaning they would sacrifice democracy to have their way?
I don't know how anyone would reach any other conclusion TODAY, but if you think the premise is absurd, its worth noting that today GOP election lawyer extraordinaire, Ben Ginsburg, suggested that the House GOP leadership might encourage a few Trumpettes to engage in very public opposition to the electoral college votes during the January 6th opening of the electoral votes, but as a ploy to provide the majority of the GOP 126 an opportunity to rehabilitate themselves, at some level, by finally publicly accepting the Biden admin. Not sure that would work, but the mere fact he would suggest that indicates that others within the GOP see the 126 as dead-enders who are currently following Trump over a cliff and who would do so again, even if it destroyed the democracy.
Why else would they need the rehabilitation opportunity?
