I found it interesting this morning listening to the Pat and Aaron show on WDAE when they mentioned the latest Bucs depth chart showed 2 TE and 2 WR, instead of 1 TE and 3 WR. Before Gage was injured the depth chart showed 1 TE and 3 WR. Any thoughts about that from the Red Board?

Yeah, I see that on the team website (only one listing it that way).

IMO, I’m not putting too much stock into it.

“Last week Dave Canales used 12 personnel (one running back and two tight ends) on 50% of the Bucs first and second downs. This week that trend continued with 12 personnel being used on 19 of the 40 plays evaluated (47.5%). His 11-personnel (one running back and one tight end) usage increased from 45% in week one to 52.5% in week two.”

My theory is they have an O-line that is a work in progress and having Ko Kieft in there more often will help with the blocking.

The Bucs definitely feel that they need to run more 12 personnel to run the ball effectively with the current OL while not risking too much sacrifice in the passing game.

This might be a Bowles thing because the Bucs were in 12 way too much last year.

Seattle was in 12 significantly more than Tampa last year (13 as well).
