After going back and watching the replay of this game I came away much more impressed with Jamies after watching the first drive in the 3rd quarter. The defense was rested from half time, they came out with a plan for stopping the run and they were fired up! The crowd was into it and we go on an almost 10 minute 15 play drive that completely took the crowd out of it. This was by far Jamies most dominate and complete performance of the entire game (and this is AFTER throwing 4 previous TD's). He had to overcome stupid penalties and a stymied running attack on this drive and he made almost every single throw count. He was on time, accurate and resilient. The O-line did everything they could to stall that drive and the Running game was all but stopped by Philly. Granted Philly sold out to stop the run but Jameis made the throws he had to in order to keep the drive alive. More than that, he made precise passes.4 Offensive Penalties for 32 that negated 13 rushing Yards 2 Defensive Penalties for 10 yards1 Offsetting penalty that negated a 9 yard run44 total yards lost when factoring in what the gains would have been and defensive penalties. On a single drive that is almost insurmountable. It really shows how far Jamies has come.Rushing:(9-22 yrds; 2.44 ypc) 4,3,5,-1,0,6,-2,4,3Passes:(5/6-80 yrds; 16 yrds per catch) 15,10,0,24,23,8tdWhat's truly amazing about this drive is that in the first half he made a quite a few great throws and a few terrible passes that philly just dropped that easily could've been picked off (should have been). However on this drive he was extremely accurate and made every single throw that he should have and never forced the ball to a receiver he shouldn't have. This drive really impressed me. Jameis has been a roll lately and I for one am ecstatic to see it. The last 6 games he has thrown for a total of 9 TD's, 2 INTS, 1,440 yards and rushed for another 3 TD's and we are 4-2 during that span! In every game this year he has scored at least 1 TD either passing or rushing. In 6 of those game he has scored 2 or more TD's. After his 5 turnover game I thought this was going to be an extremely long process with him but he has really shown that he not only puts in the work but that he knows how to make film room study translate to the field.I really love the fact that we have a QB now! I know there will be mistakes but these types of performances show that he will overcome and fix his mistakes.
